A collection of short stories. The title story is about Youzuke; one summer when he was growing up, he stayed at his uncle's house. His uncle had a pool, and at night Youzuke would see a mermaid swimming there, visiting his uncle. Years and years have passed, and Youzuke's uncle has disappeared. Surprisingly enough, his will leaves the house to a stranger, Ayumi Kenjou. But when Youzuke meets Ayumi, it seems like he'd already met him that summer so very long ago.

Among the mostly male human population, the light-haired elite class is allowed to temporarily keep the dark-haired "mongrels" as pets. One elite member, Iason, encounters a mongrel named Riki in the slums and decides to take him in. However, Iason keeps Riki longer than it is socially approved, and rumors abound about their possible relationship.

The victims, the compulsive liar "Mii-kun" (the narrator), and "Maa-chan" (Misono Mayu) reunite and start living together, despite of the fact that the kidnapped children were in Mayu's apartment...

In the middle of an infinity of worlds, which respect the rule of non-interference, there lives a Savior in the city, who protects the people. Holding his guitar, he has a mission: save each world from its own crisis. Almost every time he succeeds, but always feels a little more gloomy. One day, a shooting star brings an illness to the city which turns people into zombies...(note: Chinese zombies and Western zombies are quite different).

On all accounts, Ground Zero can be considered a doujinshi due to its lack of consistency and subjected humor. However, it tackles deeply into the characters' morale and philosophies regarding war, peace, and of course, the gundams.
Like Battlefield of Pacifists and Blind Target, Ground Zero are *possible* events that take place in between the TV series and the OVA, Endless Waltz.Heero attempts to live a normal life after the war. To learn about his roots, Sharaku must investigate the mysterious ruins that a long lost civilization called the Three-Eyed Ones bequeathed to him. In his worldwide search, which takes both he and Chiyoko Wato to locations like Arizona, Easter Island, and Mexico, Sharaku deciphers ancient scriptures and uses gadgets he invents to help solve (or start) problems and mysteries.
Sharaku is frequently bullied for his childishness, and as such the story is also about how he fights back when the x-shaped bandage that covers his third eye is removed. Behind the bandage is hidden Sharaku's malicious third eye, and the boy's hidden evil genius emerges when it can see.
