Whenever Kurumi is sad and wishes she was more brave, she looks at her fairy tale book. One day, a "Coppelia" called Chestnut comes out of her book, saying she came from the fairy world through a portal created by Kurumi's strong desire. But now that Kurumi has a Coppelia, she's expected to fight others in battles where the loser ends up undressed.

She's much stronger than the average human and she has a hard time controlling her emotions, specifically her anger, so she's always kept her distance from people. Right before she graduated middle school, she lost control of her emotions and went on a rampage, injuring students and teachers. The incident briefly made the news before an organization, the Sorcerers, stepped in and quickly covered up the incident. From them she learned about her ancestors, and that she is the descendent of demons, and the Sorcerers are there to keep demons in check. Since all demons have trouble controlling their emotions, they are all tasked with finding a scabbard, a person that can keep their emotions at ease and, if necessary, kill them if they lose control. If they are unable to find a scabbard, they will be killed by the Sorcerers. Will Shiho find her salvation?

In this city there are human-sized mechanical dolls known as "Automata" who serve the people of the city.The protagonist, Romeo, is a taxi driver who was originally involved in a organization known as the "Olma Rossa." He finds an automata in the shape of a young woman, who appears to have amnesia. He names her Anna, they start living together. However, sometime later, the Olma Rossa begin to catch up to Romeo, and an organization composed of automata also appears; thus, Romeo must fight to protect his current life.
