The main character is Pan Gamma Vi Gen. He is the captain of the legendary black vessel. Pan Gamma Vi Gen is lazy and clumsy -- that is him when is resting. But once Pan decides to work, he is the best man available. Pan says things that normal people can hardly understand. And he doesn't say much, he only gives lots of clues.Everything starts when Captain Pan let Mia and Tuban Sanoo be aboard. Mia is a princess of a fallen country and Tuban is the best, people say, swordsman as well as strategist. Although Pan Gamma Vi Gen is the main character, it seems Pan, Mia and Tuban are the main characters as Mia and Tuban appear in all episodes. Mia is looking for science to restore her county, Ontana. Tuban is protecting Mia as the will of someone Tuban trusted. Pan Gamma Vi Gen agreed to take Mia to where she could locate the science in exchange of her virginity. (Don't get Pan wrong here, I believe he meant something else but at this moment, Mia's virginity is all I can guess.)

His Ryuha, or fighting style is called Mutsu Enmei Ryu. A style that is said to have never lost in its 1000 year history. Tsukumo not yet a perfect fighter also increases his strength as the story progresses.

Ignacio DaSilva is a world famous Brazilian karate expert turned soccer player who has been making headlines. His giant body and unusual speed has made him the number one player in the world by far. During his post game interview, he stated that there was someone with more talent than him and that he was coming back from Brazil any time soon. This left the media in a frenzy to find who this player was that was better than the great Ignacio. Kensho is the son of a karate master who grew up with his next door neighbor, Satsuka, who was the daughter of a soccer coach. As fate may have it, Kensho became a great soccer player and moved to Brazil for 3 years while Satsuka stayed in Japan and became the scholastic champion in her division. Kensho comes back to Japan and attends the same high school as Satsuka. Little does the world know about the tornado that was about to hit the soccer community with the return of Kensho.
