To stop the sacred spirits of the Heavenly Realm wreaking havoc in the world of humans, successors of the Four Deities are born in each generation to guard the barrier with the Heavenly Realm, using the powers of the four sacred spirits. Many years ago, humanity was on the verge of extinction from a creature called the "Black Beast." The world was saved by six heroes who wielded magic. They helped humanity create "Ars Magus", a fusion of magic and science, to defeat the Black Beast. This event would be later known as the First War of Magic.After the war, the Novus Orbis Librarium (also referred to as "The Library" or the "NOL") was created to govern the world with the use of Ars Magus. A great deal of dissent was caused by the Library, partly due to Ars Magus' use in nearly every facet of society, and the widening socioeconomic gap between those who could and couldn't use Ars Magus. This dissent would eventually form years later into the Second War of Magic or also known as the Ikaruga Civil War, when the city of Ikaruga openly rebelled against the NOL. Upon winning the war, the NOL imposed a harsher rule on the world, punishing any rebellion against the NOL with death.In December A.D. 2199, several years after the Second War of Magic, a branch of the NOL was utterly destroyed by an SS-class rebel named "Ragna" also known as the "Grim Reaper", in an attempt to destroy the Librarium. The NOL, hoping to stop him, immediately announced the largest bounty ever, available to anyone who could capture him. Interestingly, Ragna possesses a powerful form of Ars Magus known as the "Azure Grimoire." This led the NOL, as well as the other fighters, to hunt Ragna not just for his bounty, but also his Azure Grimoire.BlazBlue - Chimelical Complex, is the manga adaptation of BlazBlue - Calamity Trigger, the hit fighting game developed by Arc System Work.

Hanagasumi Highschool is located right in middle of Kabukichou, Tokyo's #1 red-light district. Because of this, the students are constantly robbed and harassed by yakuza, gangs, etc. In order to ensure the students' safety, the Student Council came up with one solution: befriend the legendary "Tiji-kun", the strongest man in Kabukichō. Two students, Motobu Tomoko and Akazawa Ryo, were assigned the task. But when they find out the true identity of the mysterious "Tiji-kun", having a peaceful school-life turns out to be harder than it seems.

Basically, it's a retanking of some chapters from Full Metal Panic!. It's sort of like FMP! Fumoffu.. meaning that there's no mecha plotline, only short stories. Also there's an extra story not presented anywhere in each volume of this series.

A pretty-boy volleyball player named Akira gets kicked out of his middle school team for being too arrogant. With his coach refusing to give him a reference, it looks like he will only be able to go to a high school with a mediocre volleyball team. By chance, he finds a leaflet for Seiryoh High School volleyball team and decided to try out. But then complications arise in the form of a delinquent with very curly hair.
