Chaos;Head's story is set in the year of 2008 in Shibuya and is centered around Takumi Nishijou, a high school student at the private Suimei Academy, and some strange events that have occurred recently in the Shibuya area. Two events have occurred so far and is being referenced by the media and the public at large as being New Generation events. The first event named "Group Dive" occurred on September 7th with five high school students jumping to their deaths off of a high tower. The second event occurred on September 19th wherein a male was found dead with a thirty-two week old fetus incised within his abdomen.

A story about two classmates, Sahoko and Rio. Rio is depressed and self-abusive due to lack of loving relationships with her "family" -- which consists of her negligent father, overbearing, selfish stepmother and stepbrother; and Sahoko soon becomes her only comfort in life. Sahoko on her part has a frigid relationship with her overprotective parents, and lives with her aunt by consequence.

A hikikomori gets texted 'help me' from an anonymous source. Feelings of heroism coax him to the outside world which and he finds has been badly damaged, with broken houses and bits of debris everywhere. He searches for survivors but all he finds are corpses and ghosts till he gets to his sister's body.The guy has esp so he converses with her ghost and she tags along in his attempt to find more survivors. Eventually they do find someone that casts a shadow, but they may not be as human as they seem.
