5 years ago, a mysterious Akuma appeared...However, one man stopped the Akuma in it's tracks, His name is Alalakit. The story start off with Jikeina and Santa. Jikeina was santa's older brother and they made a living by getting rid of monsters or stopping monsters from invading a village. However, Santa has a mark on his left hand, it is the mark of the Akuma. Acttually it's the mark of 'Mahou's Power'. There are 108 of the Akuma's powerful power, and they are passed down to 'successors', each animal who have the blood of the Akuma is changed, to youkais, only the most powerful of the lot are given one of the Akuma's power, and they will have a mark on various parts on their body as evidence that they inherited the power of the Akuma. Santa, has the Symbol of a star on his hand, and on it, is the number "0". In a battle with a Youkai who has the Mahou's Power of fire, Jikeina is seperated from Santa, and Santa had just discovered what is his Mahou power...it's something to do with the mouth on his stomach...alone, Santa travels to all kinds of places, making new friends, defeating new enemies, and learning the secret of the Akuma, whilst seeking Jikeina.

But disease can be cured by using artificial limbs or "exchanging" limbs of people with special antibodies. These people with the antibodies, who only exist one in ten-thousand, are called "Doner", and their bodies considered national treasures. One day, Dorothy, a Doner, exchanges her precious right eye for a male Plastica(robot servents) who was about to get thrown away. Their meeting sparks the beginning of a story of a strange master and her strange Plastica. [ruggia]

This is a shounen manga about a senior named Taketo Iwase and a dog named Salsa. As they set off early on to resolve a problem with a criminal that Toshifumi (Taketo's brother) is having, Taketo sees that there is more to the dog (that can communicate in the human language) than meets the eye. Together they solve a number of troubles and also meet other different species (cat girls, dogs, birds, etc). The author clearly shows that she is capable of drawing dynamic illustrations, especially in the fighting scenes although it make look somewhat shoujo at times. Wild Half has some very funny gag lines, some moving plots, helpful morals, in short, a little bit of everything packaged into one. (Shortened review written by Si)

After receiving a call from a mysterious lady called Shindou Yurika, Masaki, the main protagonist, learns that his elder sister died under mysterious circumstances. He obtains a Jazz CD from Yurika and plays it in remembrance of his sister. While listening to it he experiences soul traveling and dives into a, for him unknown, "psyche world". Later on he accidentally meets other souls and tries to find out what actually happened to his sister.

Unfortunately, his guide to learning how to be a modern day Doctor Dolittle, is the unflappable and occasionally hostile Narusawa, who warns Shinichiro that his decision to learn how to talk to animals may have consequences beyond his imaginings. It all seems like fun and games at first, especially with the charming black cat, Acht, around to liven things up, but as Shinichiro and Narusawa grow closer, the complexity of both communication and the human heart begin to be revealed...
