‘Square’ is a region covered in monster-infested miasma. ‘Pieces’ are people aiming to recapture Square, fighting life and death battles every day with the fate of humanity in their hands. ‘Tellus’, a boy living in the monsters’ den, aims to become a piece with the hope of avenging his parents who were attacked by monsters. ‘Rune’, a member of the Trick Troupe that take care of Tellus, worries for the reckless kid. But one day, Tellus leaves town and sets out to fight monsters without their knowledge. A monster suddenly appears before him, the very one he swore revenge against for his parents, ‘Eques’!! “Everyone who took care of me… I’ll save you all for sure!” And so grand quest for revenge begins!

Based on Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG).The beautiful Goddess Altea, creator of the tranquil worlds of Lagendia, plummeted into unconsciousness after being poisoned by her jealous, evil sister Vestinel. The poison can only be neutralized by an antidote made from the source of the poison itself - Vestinel's magic grail - which has disappeared into Lagendia along with sinister Vestinel herself. Able to communicate to her people only through dreams, the Goddess Altea calls upon the Heroes of Lagendia, via all-knowing prophets, to find the grail and save her from her eternal slumber. The last one, Crimson Firebird, was given to Dohran, Tokugawa's naive son . Many years have passed and now, under the cover of a travelling performer, Dohran is seeking revenge and also to bring back the smile in the faces of people.
